7:42 PM I happened to be on the phone with Nick when the Cubs made their final out in the 9th inning against the Braves. “It’s over,” Nick said. He’s right. Nothing to do now but wait till next year. Which Cub fans have been doing for a long time. Next year Calvary will be 90 years old. No pastor of our church has ever seen the Cubs win a World Series. Maybe I’ll be the first.
