8:50 PM Today’s entry in the Crosswalk weblog is called A Note From Miss Eva. 7:11 PM This weekend the Oak Park Christian Academy girls’ team is taking part in a tournament at Walther Lutheran in Maywood. Coach Kris Sagan sends along this report about their game last night:

Thought I would pass along some good news…the Lady Lions beat Gloria Dei (per Pastor Ray’s orders) handily this evening, 28-12! It could easily have been 40-12, but we stopped pressing after the first quarter, when it was 12-2. The girls are really beginning to jell. Alexis Golling scored 14 points and probably had 20 rebounds—she was in the zone. (Remarkable because she had not scored at all in our first two games.) Rachel Fields is our point guard and playing smart, unselfish ball. Everyone is stepping up and playing hard—it’s fun to watch.

7:01 PM Mark your calendar for the Thanksgiving Prayer and Praise service next Thursday morning in the Dining Room. Continental breakfast starts at 7:30 AM, the service will begin around 8 AM and will end promptly at 9 AM. After the service, Davis Duggins will lead the Turkey Trot and I will lead the Pastor’s Stroll. 7:00 PM 3111 miles.
