11:14 PM Diane Sawyer interviewed Mel Gibson for ABC Primetime. The interview airs Monday at 9 PM. When asked about the criticism the Passion movie has received, Gibson made this reply:

Critics who have a problem with me don’t really have a problem with me in this film. They have a problem with the four Gospels. That’s where their problem is.

7:12 AM Passion Watch: Only 11 days until the premiere of “The Passion of the Christ.” Tickets go on sale at Calvary tomorrow morning … Bible scholar Darrell Bock of Dallas Seminary calls the movie faithful to Scripture—and powerful. 7:00 AM Darin Weil reports that God moved in a big way last night when the Power Connection Junior High ministry had their annual “Mall Hunt”:

We had another successful event! Just a brief update on the Mall Hunt. We had about 85 students and leaders participating in the Mall Hunt this year. It was a very fun time! Two students shared their testimony and they were quite powerful. Afterwards I presented the gospel, showed a clip from The Passion of the Christ and gave the students an opportunity to accept Christ. In the end, we were blessed with 14 students who indicated that they made a first time decision to accept Christ. Praise the Lord! Putting events together, organizing the details, communicating will all the helpers, Getting food, setting up sound, and working out minutia is not always the most fun thing to do. But when at the end, you get to reap the harvest and point students to Christ it all becomes worth it. I praise God that He has chosen to use this ministry in such ways. He is doing great things. Thanks for your prayers. Darin

7:00 AM Happy Valentine’s Day!
