July 26, 2004

2:12 PM Mark and his friend Dave McKee have been visiting my brother Alan in Tupelo, Mississippi. When we talked to him several hours ago, they were just leving Tupelo on their way home to Oak Park. Mark said they will not arrive until late tonight because they are stopping for dinner at Lambert’s Restaurant in Sikeston, Missouri, home of “throwed rolls.” I’ve eaten there several times, and they really do throw the hot rolls across the dining room. 11:46 AM Received two requests this AM to reprint my Crosswalk article Is Evangelism a Hate Crime? One request came from the Free Methodist Church in Richland Center, WI, and the other came from Oak Hills Church of Christ in San Antonio, TX, where Max Lucado is the pulpit minister. 11:43 AM Monday shout-out to Kristy Salgado, Charles Prince, Jan Hirschy, Debbie Walts, Todd Shinabarger (thanks for the pix), Dave and Connie Rogers (ditto on the pix!) and Nerissa Sanchez. Special greetings, best wishes, and our prayers go out to Jim Rak who is hospitalized in Milwaukee after an accident last week. Get well soon, Jim.
