10:30 AM Here are my three most recent entries in the Crosswalk weblog: A Hard and Unsteady Week The Power of a Truly Changed Life My Current Reading List 11:52 AM First Watch for men begins in 6 days. So far we’re expecting 85 men for the first “First Watch” next Thursday morning. 11:45 AM Another encouraging note:

Dear Pastor Ray, I first got hold of your book at Dr. Hauser’s office. I picked up a few and read one and gave them away. Afterwards I bought a bunch from a christian bookstore and started to pass them out. Two people that have read your book gave their lives to Jesus. My sister in law works at the O’Hare Hilton and she has the opportunity to witness to people. She would then ask me for a copy. Last week she gave your book to a Hindu woman and she gave her life to Jesus. Will you be translating this book to spanish? I can see this as a good witnessing tool.

We don’t have a Spanish translation yet but we hope to have one before too long. 11:37 AM Jeff Eaton and I share a love for good barbecue. He filed this report from a recent trip to Alabama:

A couple of weeks ago I traveled to Tuscaloosa, AL for a business meeting. They fed us a great southern breakfast, negotiations proceeded for a few hours, and then one of them asked me “Do you like ribs?” They catered us a great lunch of superb barbecue ribs from a place called Dreamland, complete with plastic bibs. No side orders at Dreamland- you get ribs, and a loaf of bread, and that’s it. Superb ribs, but you probably already know about this place. If I ever get bad news from a doctor I am putting it on my list of places to eat before I see Jesus-along with Moonlite Barbecue in Owensboro.
