Tokyo Airport
September 24, 2007
We are 20 hours into our 28-hour trip from Tupelo to Bangkok. At the moment we are in a two-hour layover at Narita Airport in Tokyo. I believe it’s about 7 PM on Monday but I’m not totally sure about that. The sun has gone down and that’s all I know for sure. At this point in a long trip, you end up feeling punch drunk because it is the equivalent of 4 AM back home. So far our flights have been uneventful. We managed to get two seats by ourselves for the long flight over the Pacific, and that helped. Plus they were behind a bulkhead, giving us a little more legroom. Our flight for Bangkok leaves in less than an hour. Then it’s eight hours in the air, and we’re there. So far, so good.
They just called our flight. Time to head for Thailand.
