I meant to say something profound

because this is our 35th anniversary.

But the hour is late

so this will have to do. 

I actually don’t remember a lot 

about that hot night in Phoenix

when so many years ago 

we were married.

But I was there and she was there

and she said “I do" 

and that has made all the difference.

No man could be happier than I am

or more blessed.
