Will You Be One of the 1000?

February 10, 2012

Skip Olson with some of our Chinese friends.

45 days and counting.

That’s how many days until the first Keep Believing China broadcast beams into mainland China. On Monday, March 26 we’ll begin a thrice-weekly broadcast (MWF) into China with a potential listening audience of 878 million people.

We’re asking God for 1000 people to join us in prayer as the first broadcast airs at 7 PM in China, which works out to 6 AM Central Time in the U.S. We’ve heard from many people who plan to pray with us at that very hour.

Will you be one of the 1000?

Since the last time we wrote, we’ve learned that we will have an audio copy of the Chinese broadcast on the KBM website so that you can listen to the program at the very hour it airs in China. We’ve also seen our first glimpse of the brand-new KBM China website and smartphone apps that will make our broadcast available in Mandarin around the clock anywhere in the world.

Here’s a note we received from “Judy,” a friend in China who visits the Keep Believing website:

Dear Ray and Marlene,

I get used to hear from you, whatever it will be said, the words and news make me peaceful, some times I am very weak, I look forward to grasping the hands of Jesus tightly, but some depress and troubles or worries stop me entering into the doors, it’s very hard.  After all I Trust one thing, Jesus saved me and will help me forever, there is a voice in my heart that will guide us when we are in struggle.

The project your preaching in China is a good news for me and for Chinese, I pray to the God, it’s a very big good things, giving their strength…we are growing days after days, years after years…

God bless you and your team and your family!

Judy

Isn’t it wonderful to know we have friends like that in China waiting for our broadcast to begin? Would you join us in daily prayer as March 26 approaches? Pray for the TWR team as they prepare the first few broadcasts and continue working on the new website and smartphone apps. Pray for the translators as they work on the sermons. Pray that there will be no interference as the programs are broadcast into China. Pray for God to raise up a multitude of new friends like “Judy” in China. Finally, pray for the $300,000 needed over the next two years. In just three months we have received over $80,000 toward this project.

Thank you for being part of the KBM Prayer Team. We especially need you to be one of the 1000 who will pray with us on Monday, March 26, at 6 AM Central Time in the US (you can adjust for your own time zone) as we form a mighty prayer army uniting together as the first broadcast airs in China.

Will you be one of the 1000?
