Good Words for Today: September 21

“The name that is above every name” (Philippians 2:9). How important is the name of Jesus? By virtue of his victorious resurrection and ascension into heaven, God has exalted him to the very highest place in the universe. He has the greatest name in the universe. No one can be compared to him. He’s Number One and there is no Number Two. It’s not as if Jesus is at the top of the heap and everyone else is at the bottom. No! He stands alone. He is a category unto himself. His name is the greatest name of all. Human heroes come and go but one Name lives on forever. Ten thousand times ten thousand years from now the greatest name in the universe will still be the name of Jesus Christ.
