Good Words for Today: September 19

“If what I eat causes my brother or sister to fall into sin, I will never eat meat again” (1 Corinthians 8:13). Our behavior has consequences that we may not see at first. Our casual attitude may hurt those who watch us day by day.  Our loose language, our critical spirit, and our flippant attitude toward sin may influence another believer to compromise his own convictions. We must never let that happen. Too much is at stake. My brother’s walk with Christ matters more than my Christian liberty. Better that I should say no when I could say yes than to take even a tiny chance of hurting another believer by my careless attitude.
