Keep Believing China – Shining the Light
1:7000There is 1 pastor for every 7000 church members in China. That 1 pastor is young, bi-vocational, and has little Bible or pastoral training. He pastors multiple congregations in different cities often traveling days to minister to his flock. He serves as the worship leader, student pastor, hospital chaplain, full-time preacher, and fearless shepherd defending his sheep. Along with all of the above, he lives under constant surveillance from the governement. He is an often lonely and isolated man whose chief desire is to see the name of Jesus light up the country of China. That’s our man.

Radio Broadcasting: In the Spring of 2012, TWR will begin broadcasting sermons in Mandarin three times a week. The broadcast area covers the vast majority of mainland China, with a potential audience of 878 million people.
Chinese Website: A mandarin language website is being developed that will house every broadcast free for downloading in either audio or written format. Listeners will also be able to access all of the content through customized iPhone, iPad, and Android apps.
Our goal is not simply to set up a website and broadcast sermons throughout China. We want to join together with pastors and Christian workers to equip the church in China. With that in mind, we’re engaging in our most hands-on avenue of ministry:
Personal Distribution: In cooperation with TWR we will be distributing computer flash drives and cd’s that contain translated sermons, audio sermons, and the Chinese version of Dr. Pritchard’s book, “An Anchor for the Soul” directly to the pastors on the ground.
That’s Our Plan. And we’ll need your help.
We’ve been praying that God would raise up co-laborers for the cause of Christ in China and we’re hoping youll pick up your shovel and pick ax and join us in the fields. Here are three ways you can get involved immediately:
Pray: We ask that you would join us in prayer as we seek to build His church in China. Consider one of these possibilities:
- Create a prayer group for the country of China in your church.
- Begin praying for China with your small group, friends and family.
- Pray that God would raise up co-laborers for China in your life.
Host: Would you be willing to share this vision with your friends, family, church, fantasy football league, scrapbooking friends, tupperware party goers, and bike riding amigos? If so, we’d like to partner with you and provide you with all the materials you’ll need to share the vision of a stronger Chinese church with your friends and family.
Give: When all the costs are added up the total reaches $300,000 for the first two years. Would you consider one of the following:
- Making a one-time gift
- Enrolling in planned monthly giving (via Pay Pal or ACH Debit)
- Sponsoring a sermon or sermon series
- Equipping a pastor to train the church
The church of China is growing and in great need of quality biblical resources.
