A Christmas Benediction

A friend sent along this beautiful Christmas benediction. I like it because it catches so many different strands of the Christmas story:
“May you be filled with the wonder of Mary, the obedience of Joseph, the joy of the angels, the eagerness of the shepherds, the determination of the magi, and the peace of the Christ child. Almighty God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit bless you now and forever.”

| That’s the blessing I’m going to use tonight at the Watch Night Service. I found it on line a few hours ago. It’s from the Book of Common Order I think. |
